All Are Welcome

Finite Time. Infinite Good. Multiply God’s goodness. What we do with the 24 hours in a day can effect countless hours and days ahead. Our volunteers at Catholic Charities know this to be true. Through our programs, volunteers have the opportunity to nurture children by being Foster Grandparents, serve the community through our multiple food banks, lend a friendly ear through Friendly Phones and Telephone Assurance programs and much more. Help continue to move hands and hearts through Catholic Charities by giving to the 2017 Appeal. Call 218-1400 or visit today. (Please make sure to identify yourself as a parishioner of St. Peter & St. Bernard.) Finite time. Infinite good.

Additional 2017 dates are April 23, May 21, and June 18.

If you are interested in just helping to clean up, please come at Noon. For questions, please call Mike Roemer at 472-5886.

- Mike Roemer

As Pope Francis so humbly states:

"To love God and neighbor is not something abstract, but profoundly concrete: it means seeing in every person the face of the Lord to be served, to serve him concretely. And you are, dear brothers and sisters, the face of Jesus." (5/21/13)

A New Moment for our 2016/17 RCIA Participants

Every Sunday at the 10:30 Mass, the Celebrant calls forth the candidates for the Easter Sacraments (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) and sends them with a Catechist to reflect more deeply on the readings and homily and to share on their meaning in their lives. This “dismissal” reflects their special place in the prayers and life of the entire parish community. This is a visible reminder to all of us of our Baptismal call to be vibrant followers of Jesus Christ and involved members of the Church. Let us pray especially for Brian, Caty, Christa, Philip, Joseph, Kimberly, Courtney and Darcie. May God give them and all of us the grace of ongoing conversion during this time of special preparation.

For more information, please call the rectory at (716) 754-4118 to talk to Msgr. LiPuma ( or Sister Ann (

Children's Liturgy

Children's Liturgy Leaders

We are looking for new members for our Children’s Liturgy team. This ministry is a great opportunity to share God’s Word with the littlest ones of our parish! Each week, one leader takes the group to the Parish Hall during Mass and reads/explains the Gospel to them in a way that they can understand. The Children’s Liturgy runs during 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Peter’s and we rotate teachers, so we only ask for a once a month commitment and we are all flexible to switch. We can help with preparations for any newcomers. Contact Libby Broderick (545-2143) for more info.

Growing in our Faith

One of the very best ways to grow in your faith and your relationship with Jesus is by the practice of Eucharistic Adoration.
What is Eucharistic Adoration?
Eucharistic Adoration is when we spend time in prayer with Jesus in the form of the Blessed Sacrament. You can pray in any Catholic Church or Chapel for a short amount of time or a long amount of time. Jesus could be in a Tabernacle or a Monstrance while we are praying.
What is the Blessed Sacrament?
Once a host has been Consecrated at Mass, we call it the Blessed Sacrament, or the Eucharist, or a Sacred Host, because it is no longer bread but is Jesus’ Body.
What is a Monstrance?
A Monstrance is a special stand that looks like a golden sunburst which holds the Eucharist up high so everyone can see it.
What do you do during Adoration?
Talk to Jesus in your heart about how you love Him, what you are sorry for, ways you want to thank Him, and for things you and other people need. Sit quietly and look at Jesus, and listen to Him with your heart. Pray a Rosary or the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, read a passage from the Bible and reflect on it, or write in your prayer journal.
On the First Friday of each month, St. Peter’s has all day Eucharistic Adoration.
